| Horwood
Outpost is located 1-1/2 hours west of Timmins, Ontario
on Horwood Lake near the town of Foleyet.
The
Outpost camp is on the lake’s mid-point which is a 12 mile
boat ride. The camp is boat access only (no roads to camp).
Transportation is provided from our parking area to the
camp. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat but boat
& motor rentals are available at the camp.
Cottages
and Cabins
The camp has 8 modern housekeeping cottages which can sleep
from 2 to 12 people. The cottages are fully equipped with
fridge, stove, pots, pans utensils and coffee pots. Guests
must provide their own food.
The
cottages are wood stove heated and plenty of wood is available
at camp. Pillows are provided but sleeping bags (or bedding)
and personal towels are required. Cottages have electricity,
indoor toilets and running water
Cottages
have their own deck, picnic tables, deck chairs and propane

Camp Facilities
If you're not too busy fishing, hunting and exploring the
Outpost offers a number of recreational activities including
a kid's play area and horseshoe pit. For
hunters there is also a bow target practice area.
There
is a communal picnic area with shelter and a fire pit for
campfires. Ask us about our weekly fish fry!
The
camp has a large wood heated sauna and shower facilities.
There is also a screened dedicated fish cleaning room with
freezer for taking home your catch.
Gift
Shop
Our gift shop offers cold drinks, snacks, cigarettes and
necessities such as ketchup, mustard, fish crisp, bug spray
and anything else you may have forgotten to bring!
The
gift shop offers some unique souvenirs hand-made by local
artisans you won't find anywhere else along with souvenir
t-shirts, post cards and more.
Marina
The Outpost has a full service marina with boat rentals,
